The entire point of this update is Android 4.2 compatibility. 4.2 was only released earlier today, so if you expected full multi-user goodness with SuperSU so quickly, you overestimated my capabilities ;)

I do plan full multi-user capabilities, but it will take a while. This is a fairly complicated case for an app like SuperSU.

This update silently denies (no logging, no notifications) access to all apps that call su as a secondary user. Only the main user can get root access and manage SuperSU configuration.

Should any root requests occur from non-user apps (like ADB shell) that requires prompting the user, then the popup will occur on the MAIN user's screen. If such an action has been whitelisted in SuperSU configuration, it will be allowed regardless of who is logged in on-screen.

The big SuperSU link below leads to Play, which will still take an hour or two to update after I post this. In the meantime, a CWM flashable ZIP of v0.98 is already available at XDA here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 (if you're already rooted, you can take Superuser.apk out of that ZIP file and adb install it)

Lots of reports of rework with the latest changes.  ClockworkMod also has many changes ahead.  Keep up the great work and it'll be done when it's done! :)

The new multi-user feature in 4.2 is going to lead to a little bit of "fun" for developers I suspect.

Good job on this update!

Thank you for all your work, working beautifully. Happy to support on the pay apps as the user above said.

I hope you can get Stickmount back up soon too, it's been a pleasure to use.

hi dear +Chainfire  I have a problem which I'm not sure being related to supersu. I use auto proxy on my paranoid jelly bean but after some time autoproxy or orbot, which are very important for us in Iran can't setup the new proxy. I updated supersu but it didn't work I installed superuser from recovery and at the beginning it worked but after installing all other apps it didn't work. so what do u suggest  for the solution?

Kirill Mazur commented on 2012-11-18 at 11:56:

Does SuperSU (lite) opensource?

Chainfire commented on 2012-11-19 at 16:14:

+Jack Glory Sorry but I have no idea

+Kirill Mazur No it does not

Kirill Mazur commented on 2012-11-21 at 03:32:

+Chainfire why? :(

Thanks for the update... My GN is rooted!

ی. جلالی commented on 2012-11-26 at 20:08:

dear +Chainfire  I eventually found the reason for the above problem I'd mentioned. It's due to changing my phones local language to Persian. my google now didn't work and I changed the phone's local language back to english and saw that the permanent root access requesting autoproxy app has gotten root access and the proxy is changed.

Hi +Chainfire I have used Supersu for a long time and it really is very good! But now, it stopped working yesterday, (12/28), after my Galaxy Nexus updated to version 4.2.1 of Android. Are you aware of any problems?

Thankful.

Hi +Chainfire im currently running supersu for my galaxy note 2. Just wondering, is there still a possibility for me to run OTA software updates? Whenever I try to check for updates, there's a prompt that says I cannot run the update because my device has been modified. Thank you :)
