Chainfire3D v1.0 has been released !

It's an intermediary OpenGL layer that can intercept and change data sent between apps and the GPU, with basic plugin / API support to extend functionality.

The app already comes with NightMode, texture size and quality reduction, and texture unrolling as nice demo features.

Just purchased chainfire3d from the market. it seemed to install but no icon showed up. Im running 2.6.32.9 paragon5 on a samsung sgh-i897 with an i9000ugjk4 baseband. 2.2.1 firmware desijrichert-at-hotmail.com

Did you install the free version? If you downloaded Pro, you ALSO need the free version (as is stated in the description !)

I purchased the Pro version and I can see the other Tegra apps, but I can't buy Pinball HD for some reason.

Hi, I' m italian, so sorry for my English.
I've installed this app but I've a problem:
If I Installed requires drivers the phone will reebot and how I read it's ok.
But if I opened the app it tells me that I've to install the drivers, so it's seem that I've never installed them but it isn't true.
What can I do?

Hi, I try to install on A9 dual core tablet, but also the device is rooted and root partition is mounted in rw mode, I always get the ERROR Could not write to /system. Please help us! Thanks a lot.

@Tim : I don't know, I haven't used HTCs in a long time. You can probably find the answer at XDA-Developers.com

@Mattia : You probably do not have S-OFF, so the changes to /system do not stick.

@BigSpectrum : I am not familiar with that device, but from mount it seems you do not even have /system ?!

Yes I have the /system but it is not mounted as separate filesystem, it is a "normal" drawer from root / .
I think the problem is that you try to mount RW the /system in same way (but in our android it is already mounted under / and it is already in RW) and THEN you try to remount in RO. This is not possible on such a device, the root / is always mounted in RW mode.
Please note that such a tablet is THE MOST POWERFUL on the market, it as the new A9 DUAL CORE chip from Nec Renesas that runs over 1 Ghz!

Just installed live logcat lite on a rooted Samsung i5700 Spica. Cyanogen 6.1 and Voku kernel v1.6 based on 2.6.29.

The boot sequence is still showing the Android guy and then I see the Cyanogen logo. No logcat during boot.

Hi, i purchased your stuff from market and is great; i have an hint: is possible to have a "negative mode" that invert all the color (so white become black etc..) cause usually using browser or e-book reader have white background and black font... it consume more battery and is less readable than black background and white font...

Hi Chainfire,

I flashed BAMF Sense 3.0 on my HTC Thunderbolt a couple nights ago. I went to install the CF3D driver from the app, it started installing, stopped and gave me "ERROR Could not write to /system" message.
I came from a Froyo ROM and chainfire3d Pro worked beautifully for GOF2. This is my first GB ROM, and I'd rather not flash back. I'm liking Netflix ALLOT.
I'm assuming that BAMF locked /system. I just need to get it unlocked temporarily to install the driver and then lock it down again.
Any ideas?

I bought CHAINFIRE3D becasue I'm now able to play lot more games :) BUT
There is a bug that drives me crazy :( Please fix it!!!
Before I install Chainfire driver Asphalt 6 HD colours are fine red is red etc. BUT after driver installation the red in asphalt is blue :( PLEASE FIX THIS :( PLEASE :(

I bought Chainfire 3D pro and Im happy how it works. However, I have idea for small improvement. I have SGS2 and Im using LCD density hack (set to 200, default is 240) and some game (Greedy Spiders) doesnt like that. Is it possible to add feature to temporarly switch density back on original value when user start game and restore on custom when game quit?

Hi Chainfire,

Great app mate.
I've raised this on XDA as well, but thought I'd post here as well.
'Fix Market Settings' doesn't work on any version of market 3xx.

It'll run and say it's completed successfully, but you won't be able to view any tegra games etc...

Myself and a few others have just reverted back to Market 2xx and that resolves the issue.

Is there a simple fix?

I own a UNROOTED 4G xoom tablet, and use it in my car at night. I like the looks of this app and would gladly pay to use it. After downloading it, rebooting the app will not open!.

Forcing texture compression may be a good idea. I guess when Nvidia plugin is used DXTC textures are decompressed and used as uncompressed 32bit (or 16bit with reduce texture quality option) textures. Adding texture compression (e.g. PVRTC for PowerVR chips) could reduce texture size which may lead to better quality than reduce texture size. May it be possible?

Hi , this work amazing GOOD on my Gadmei 3D Free Glasses 8-inch Autostereoscopic TABLET model T863-3D now i can play all Tegra HD Games on my tablet .

Question for you , why Chainfire3D didn't support 3D stereoscopic games ? i try to lounch 4 Gameloft games in 3D stereoscopic for LG optimus 3D and Evo 3D on my 3D tablets but it lounch the games but after first step the 3D games stop , i think it need some cain of drivers to run the stereoscopic LG Optimus 3D and Evo 3D games on Gadmei FIRST 8 inch 3D HD free glasses tablet in 2012.
