CF-Root for the SGS has been updated quite a number of times the past week due to the major Gingerbread leak (the first Gingerbread leak was "meh", this one rocks your socks off).
So many new features and fixes, it's hard to keep track. Since the release before this spur of updates, things that have been added are (among others):
- Integrated CWM3 (with fallback to 3e for system updates), with both RFS(!) and EXT4 support
- CWM Manager, a new CWM control app because ROM Manager never works
- Several performance tweaks run at startup
- Tweak Manager, the app to configure which performance tweaks to use
- ext4 Manager, the app to convert between rfs <=> ext4 and back
- Support for custom boot scripts
- Support for custom boot animations
- Etc!

I've recently upgraded my SGS to JV9 (India) firmware. Which kernel version should I flash? Please advise.
Regards,
Vishal
That's an important message for me. I will try with my poor English
I use CF-Root kernel to try to do what I want
As I have post in many forum, XDA,Galaxy-team and so on, i am looking to use a second partion (ext4) on my 16 Go external sdcard. i want to put on it large files (maps).
As I saw at this time, this is impossible. This partition is mounted under /data ans used by android system to store applications (with link2sd apk for exemple) but (because it mounted uder /data) this partitionis unvisible for applications.
Why we can't choice mounting point ? wy these is unvisible for applications ?
Regards
baseband version I9100GDZKH4
kernel version 2.6.35.7 se.infra@SEI-30 #2
build number GINGERBREAD.DZKH4
i recently shifted to xxjw4 on my samsung galaxy i9000 and rooted it. i can see cwm, supersu and tweaks, but no method to convert to ext4. do i need to install anything extra or it is somewhere in any of the program.
