Today (March 12) mmTask 1.2 was released on Marketplace. 1.0 had been available for a while, but still had some issues - as some of the comments on Marketplace also state.
mmTask is a shiny and useful task switcher for Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1, 6.5 and 6.5.3. Unlike other task switchers, it actually uses Windows Mobile 6.5+'s high resolution PNG icons automagically. Its also fingerfriendly, animated, and comes with some useful extra options.
For example, you can set it to launch when you tap the middle of the taskbar, leaving space to the left for the start menu, and to the right for notification enhancements and X/OK.
It can also show you both battery level and memory use meters in the taskbar. All this without even a service or the main mmTask executable being in memory (so its very resource friendly when not open). It also truly closes when you leave the mmTask screen.
The 1.2 release is further optimized and thus faster (for you non-Snapdragon users), has a few bug fixes and brings additional languages: English, French, German, Dutch and Italian are all supported.
Right now it is available on Marketplace for United States/English only, but you can get at it through worldview as well from most countries. During the coming week it will be released on Marketplace for all English, French, German and Dutch markets.
Here's a direct link to the app on the Marketplace, however if that link actually works depends on which country you are from and whether you are logged in or not.
mmTask has already made a very short appearence in the WMPowerUser video about LMT launcher here.

I want to try this application ,
Could you help me please...
It's just on the camera I don't have.
I'll get it done this weekend! Promise! :D
First of all, clean work with this app, as with all of your applications. I'm using this app on WM 6.5.5, and it works great:
- fast ;
- light ;
- beautiful.
I guess I've stumbled over of a bug in WM (whatever the version, already had that problem in 6.1) which causes your app (and all the other task managers) not to open in case that one app is not responding. In that case, resetting is the only option. I wonder if you've already investigated into that area - maybe it's a hopeless problem due to the WM OS architecture.
Some areas for improvements:
- I like the easy way of adding exceptions. Yet, I guess you should inspire yourself on your great app "WMLongLife" where you put the exceptions (e.g. this app starts with 3G but no Wifi, etc.) into a dedicated screen, this gives the settings screen a cleaner look ;
- Moreover, it would be nice if pressing the memory button would take the user to the WM memory screen in the settings (for more information), it could be optional ;
- Starting the app by pushing the center area of the task bar is a great compromise. However, with the diversity of WM builds out there, being able to customize that area would be nice. Other task mgr apps offer a visual setting for this ;
- Currently, your task mgr does not (yet) allow to visualize processes, of course that's always a dangerous option but I guess some hardcore users would like to have it ;
- Finally, it would be nice to have the ability to run an application from your task mgr (similar to the Run feature in Windows desktop).
Don't get me wrong please, I love your app and would purchase it again (FYI that applies to all of your apps). I just want it to be the best out there ;-)
do u know that?
